Turn campaign spend, posts, and average views into an effective CPM. The arithmetic is the same function the TrueWave console uses.
Method
Console cpm(cost, views) with views = posts × average views:
decimal(roundCents((units(spend) × 1000) / (posts × avg views)), 2)
Spend is four-place decimal units. The product is rounded to cents. The result is printed to two decimals. Zero or missing views returns nothing — a missing denominator is not a free campaign. Name the window beside the number.
Worked example
$250.00 spend × 5 posts × 20,000 average views = 100,000 views → $2.50 CPM.
| Source | Typical | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Paid TikTok ads | $3.50–$10.00 CPM | You buy the views. WordStream 2026 quotes $4–$10; HiveHQ compiles $3–$10. |
| Human UGC | $150–$500 per post | Priced per deliverable, not per view. Real CPM depends on the views the post earns. |
| Flat plan | Spend ÷ measured views × 1,000 | One campaign price across every view the posts earn. Same arithmetic as this calculator. |
