What size should a TikTok be?

What aspect ratio does TikTok use?

9:16 vertical — a 1080 × 1920 frame that fills a phone. Square (1:1) and landscape (16:9) can appear in ads; organic video and photos are built for 9:16.

What size should a TikTok photo or carousel be?

The same 1080 × 1920, 9:16 canvas as video. A carousel can carry up to 35 photos. Other ratios display inside a 9:16 frame, so design for 1080 × 1920.

What is the maximum TikTok video length?

Record up to 10 minutes in the app and upload up to 60 minutes. Most For You posts that hold are far shorter. Keep the hook in the first second.

Profile photo: upload at least 200 × 200; 720 × 720 at 1:1 is a safe square. In-feed, Spark and TopView ads use the same 1080 × 1920, 9:16 frame; keep faces and the CTA inside the centre 1080 × 1420. Soft limits move — the app is the final word.
